‘Hardworking…’ – PSG’s Newest Player Shares Thoughts About His €40M Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain has their first summer recruit with the arrival of Vitinha from FC Porto. The capital club would have reportedly paid €40 million to secure a deal for the 22-year-old midfielder.

The Portugal international will sign a five-year contract, keeping him until 2027 in the French capital. Vitinha spoke with the PSG media, sharing his initial thoughts on joining the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Vitinha provided some insight into what supporters can expect from him in his first season and how he is for those who have never seen the midfielder player during his time with Porto.

“The supporters can count on me; I am hardworking, I always give the best of myself, I simply want to make them happy and that we all fulfill our objectives together,” Vitinha said

Furthermore, Lionel Messi saw last season that Ligue 1 isn’t a cakewalk as many think it is, so Vitinha was asked about his thoughts on the French league. The midfielder hopes to have a better adaptation period than the Argentine did in 2021-22.

“It’s a very big challenge that awaits me, and I’m impatient. Ligue 1 is a strong championship, which goes fast and where the teams are strong and solid. I will try to play the football I know, help the team as much as possible,” Vitinha said

The Portugal international joins Marco Verratti as the two will likely be a catalyst for the group with the possibility of bringing in Renato Sanches too.
