Angel Di Maria has officially left Paris Saint-Germain after seven years. The 34-year-old leaves the capital club as the all-time assists leader, and with his exit, the number 11 jersey is now available.
During an interview with ESPN Argentina, Di Maria stated that with him departing, he wants to see Neymar Jr. take it since he wore it during his time at FC Barcelona, and hand over the number ten kit to Lione Messi for next season.
“Leo is the best in the world; he is never sad. He will never go through that. By that time, I already told him. From next year he has to ask for the ten, that the 11 Ney gets it, and that’s it. I think he is number ten; he is the best in the world. And look, ten have that one for him,” Di Maria said.
