Angel Di Maria is likely in his final days with Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires next month with the capital club. But, despite moving on from the French capital, the 34-year-old is making sure he’s going out on a high note with his performance.
Di Maria scored one goal against Montpellier while providing two key passes in 89 minutes for Les Parisiens. After the match, the Argentine spoke with PSG TV, discussing the 4-0 win.
“We had a great game. We controlled the game from start to finish for 90 minutes. We had many goalscoring chances, great possession of the ball. I think we really had a successful match,” Di Maria said.
“We are happy because we have shown that we are champions of France. It’s never easy at the end of the season; there can be a little relaxation. But we had a spectacular match as champions, and we gave people pleasure.”
