As it stands, Xavi Simons will have the chance to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. His contract at the club will soon expire, which will grant him the opportunity to part ways with the club as a free agent.

As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Mundo Deportivo, PSG club officials have placed a multiyear extension deal on the table for Simons, but the Dutch midfielder has not agreed to the offer.

Overall, Simons does not rule out the possibility of putting pen to paper on an extension deal with the club.

Even as PSG has already clinched the Ligue 1 title this season, manager Mauricio Pochettino still has not yet provided prospects such as Simons with regular playing time. The Dutch talent did not feature in PSG’s last three league matches, and he still sits at a mere five appearances in league play so far this season.

For now, PSG sure will continue to wait for Simons’ final decision on this matter.
