The Kylian Mbappé contract extension saga remains ongoing, and the latest chapter will see the 23-year-old reportedly meet with Real Madrid representatives regarding a possible contract.
Mbappé’s deal expires next month, and he’s allowed to discuss a contract with any club; RMC Sport reports that the Spanish club hopes to tip the scales when the two parties meet next week.
The France international’s representatives recently met with the PSG leaders in Doha, Qatar. It will be the La Liga’s side to meet and see if they can convince Mbappé to leave his hometown and join Real Madrid and be the centerpiece of their project heading into the future.
Le Parisien reported on Thursday that PSG and Mbappé were on the verge of agreeing on a two-year contract extension, but it didn’t take too long for other reports to deny an agreement between the two parties.
Both clubs are hoping to find out the player’s decision as it will likely alter their summer plans heading into the 2022-23 season.
