Paris Saint-Germain will be keen on improving their defense this summer, but they could be in the market for a player that will bring some versatility to the backline. One player recently linked to the capital club to strengthen their defense is RB Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele.
Mukiele plays as a right-back for the Bundesliga club but can also slide inside to serve as a central defender. There’s not much behind Achraf Hakimi, and after Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos aren’t the most reliable due to inconsistency or health.
According to information from Bild, the versatile defender will not extend with RB Leipzig, where his contract expires in 2023. The German media outlet adds that the price set for the 24-year-old will be €10-million.
PSG isn’t the only club connected to the France international defender, as Manchester United is also following the situation. Then, Atlético de Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta has admired the Mukiele for a long time but could be held back by the competition.
