Paris Saint-Germain will be attempting to strengthen its midfield this summer. Fort the longest, the capital club has relied heavily on Marco Verratti to be the group’s catalyst with little to no help.
With the reported arrival of new sporting director Luis Campos to replace Leonardo, the Portuguese club chief will have to fix the issue that has plagued PSG for the last number of years since the departures of Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Motta.
However, one target that will have to scratch off is AS Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni, as RMC Sport reports that Liverpool and Real Madrid are the two clubs in the running to bring in the midfielder.
The 22-year-old will decide between the two clubs before the end of the week, but he already knows that he will not go to Les Parisiens. With the extension of Kylian Mbappé and the pending arrival of Campos, the news of Tchouaméni opting to go abroad might not sting so much.
Campos is one of the best talent spotters and squad architects, plenty of supporters, will have faith that even though PSG has missed out on Tchouaméni, he can find the right pieces for the midfield.
