Angel Di Maria has already played in his final match at Paris Saint-Germain, but he is slated to still continue his club football career in Europe.
As noted by the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport, Di Maria views Juventus as his priority for his next destination in Europe’s top five leagues.
On Juventus’ part, it is going all out to sign the Argentine on a free transfer deal. Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has touched base in Paris, France, to meet with Di Maria’s representatives to discuss the possibility of coming to terms with the versatile playmaker on an agreement.
Cherubini is aiming to close a deal that would see Di Maria make a move to Serie A for the first time in his career.
Di Maria closed the chapter on his PSG career last week, as he bid farewell to the club after seven seasons. PSG club officials opted against triggering the option in his contract for next season, thus making him a free agent.
On PSG’s part, it will be noteworthy to see on just who it plans to sign to replace Di Maria on the team’s depth chart.
