Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino was linked to the Manchester United job for the last few months. So when The Red Devils decided to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjær, the Argentine tactician’s name was one of the first to surface.
The 50-year-old was one of the finalists for the managerial position at Old Trafford, but the Premier League club opted to go with Ajax boss Erik ten Hag over Pochettino. At his news conference, the French media asked Pochettino about missing out on the Manchester United job.
“All the rumors during my career never affected me, and I didn’t comment on them,” Pochettino said. “I have always been completely invested. Rumors are rumors, they exist every day, and you don’t have to pay attention to them. My commitment to the club is total and always has been.”
