This summer, Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly be in the market for a new manager with the cloudy future of manager Mauricio Pochettino after the squad crashed out in the UEFA Champions League.
Les Parisiens has been connected to former Real Madrid manager Zinédine Zidane for the last couple of months. French media outlet Le Parisien took stock of the latest regarding PSG’s pursuit of the 49-year-old.
According to the report, there are two certainties regarding the Zidane-PSG connection, which is that the Ligue 1 side has the French tactician as its number one priority. The second is that club officials with the capital club have contacted him about his interest in the position.
Nonetheless, after that piece of information, the rest is vague as there’s no concrete knowledge to know whether Zidane is interested or has already given an answer in Paris?
Le Parisien details that those close to the situation state that the candidacy for Zidane would have cooled and that he’s still favoring the France national team job. However, the former Real Madrid boss has studied the Parisian proposal with the utmost seriousness.
