Paris Saint-Germain will finish its Ligue 1 schedule this season with a fixture against Metz on matchday 38, which could end up being Di Maria’s final one with the club.
As noted by L’Equipe (via Le10Sport), PSG club officials still do not plan on re-signing Di Maria. The Argentine winger will become a free agent at the end of the season, which will grant him the opportunity to leave the club as a free transfer.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has been disappointed with the season of Di Maria and thus, he will not offer the Argentine a contract extension deal in the summer transfer window.
Barring a late-season surge, Di Maria will finish this season with under 10 goals and under 10 assists. Overall, he has recorded a mere two assists in 2022, both of which came in the Ligue 1 away win over Angers.
