Angel Di Maria’s tenure with Paris Saint-Germain appears to be ending, with the 34-year-old’s contract expiring in June. The capital club reportedly doesn’t plan to exercise the option to keep the Argentine for another season.
With the FIFA World Cup occurring later this year, Di Maria will likely seek a short-term deal to remain fit for the competition. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have already identified the veteran forward to help strengthen their attack.
Juventus plans to go after Di Maria to replace the outgoing Paulo Dybala and have the PSG forward link up with Dusan Vlahovic and the currently injured Federico Chiesa.
Over the past few years, the Serie A side has been masters at taking advantage of the free transfer market, and they’re hopeful that landing Di Maria aligns with their successful moves.
In his seven seasons at PSG, Di Mari has appeared in 289 fixtures, scoring 91 goals and recording 115 assists, which is a club record.
