Angel Di Maria arrived in 2015 in Paris Saint-Germain, and in his seven years in the French capital, the Argentine has converted himself into a legend. The 34-year-old is already the all-time leader in assists.
The veteran forward is out of a contract in June, and all signs indicate that he will be departing the capital club this summer. As a result, Di Maria will be looking at other places to continue his career and prepare for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar later this year.
According to TyC Sports, there are four clubs interested in Di Maria, who will be looking for a short-term contract. The Argentine has stated in the past his preference to finish his career in Argentina, so a one or two-year deal makes logical sense.
FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid are among the four clubs eyeing Di Maria, with the other two being Juventus and SL Benfica. The PSG forward has played in Spain, so it’s a league he knows, and he previously played for Benfica. Juventus is a club that can squeeze out the final years of a veteran player, so it’s no surprise they’re interested.
It will be interesting to see where the PSG legend ends up to wrap up his career in Europe.
