Pochettino Speaks Out on Managerial Future at PSG

The managerial future of Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain continues to be among the more notable talking points within the club. Pochettino has one more season remaining on his current contract at the club, although there has been much outside speculation that he may be sacked after the ongoing campaign.

From Pochettino’s standpoint, as he told Prime Video Sport France (via Le10Sport) following PSG’s Ligue 1 home win over Lorient, he has not gone over his status at the club with team officials.

“For the moment, we haven’t talked about the future,” Pochettino said. “I have one year left on my contract, but it is important to analyze before making the decision, and we will respect the club’s decision in the future. It will happen what will happen.”

The Argentine’s future at PSG has been much discussed ever since the side crashed out in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 following its loss to Real Madrid. From the side’s roller-coaster showings in Ligue 1 as of late to the underperformances from some of its high-salary talents, there have been many that have called for him to be sacked.

PSG continues to inch closer to soon clinching the Ligue 1 title. PSG sits at 68 points through 30 matches played in the league campaign.
