As it stands, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will have the opportunity to leave the club at the end of the season as a free agent.
For French national team manager Didier Deschamps, he does not have a preference on this matter, whether he should stay at PSG or move elsewhere.
“I don’t have any preference,” Deschamps said at a press conference on Thursday. “I don’t have an opinion, he will decide. Whatever he decides, it will not be a problem for the French team. It will be his decision and his family’s decision about what might be best for him. I have no particular information. I won’t try to find out anyway.
“I think there are other players who must be much more worried than Kylian. It doesn’t matter where he is. At his level, there’s no reason why it should have any bearing on [his place within] the French team.”
Mbappe still has not provided a specific date on just when he will make a decision on where he will be playing at next season.
