Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes played all 90 minutes in the capital club’s 5-1 thrashing of Lille OSC.
The 19-year-old had a hand in the first goal when his cross into the box was misplayed by the goalkeeper leading to a second chance opportunity, where Danilo Pereira would score the opening goal.
After the match, the Portuguese international spoke with PSG TV and provided his thoughts on the convincing win over the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
“I think it was a good game from the team. We started well and scored early, which helped us to stay relaxed and play our game. We pressed, and we managed to score a lot of goals tonight, and that’s good for the team,” Mendes said.
“Danielo? I didn’t think I’d see him there on the pitch, but he appeared and won, the goalkeeper didn’t catch my cross, and Danilo was able to score. So I was very happy for him and myself.”
