Kylian Mbappé spoke about his future after Pairs Saint-Germain’s 5-1 victory over Lille. The 23-year-old made it known that he hasn’t made his decision on his future. Talks between the two parties remain ongoing for a possible extension.
“No, my decision is not made,” Mbappé said. “I think playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things. Even if I am free at the moment, I will not go and talk with the opponent or do that stuff. I’m focused on winning against them and making the difference. We’ll see what happens next.”
Every word, every speech, every gesture of Mbappé will be interpreted, dissected, analyzed until the announcement of his decision to extend to PSG or to leave free. RMC Sport reports that the capital club wasn’t surprised by the statements made.
The Parisian leaders are still in conversations with Mbappé and his entourage. The France international has not, for the moment, signified the end of negotiations, nor announced a departure from his current club.
PSG believes that it has the means to convince Mbappé to extend his contract by making him the best-paid player in the squad, by ensuring him the most ambitious sports project and a prominent place in this project around a short-term contract.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid remains lurking in the background, hoping to sign the forward when his contract expires in June.
