Report: Ramos Remains on Track to Miss the First Leg of PSG’s Champions League Tie Against Real Madrid

When the UEFA Champions League round of 16 ties for this season were officially unveiled, there was much anticipation for Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos to face off against his former club in Real Madrid. However, this may not be the case for the opening leg of the tie.

As noted by RMC Sport, Ramos is currently on track to miss next week’s first leg match against Real Madrid.

The Spanish defender is still dealing with a notable calf injury, which saw him miss PSG’s recent Ligue 1 away fixture against Lille OSC.

More so, the Spanish international did not feature in PSG’s scheduled training session on Wednesday due to his nagging calf injury.

Ramos’ season has been marred by calf and muscle injuries. He wound up not featuring in a single Champions League group stage fixture with PSG in the first half of the season.

Overall, Ramos has featured in five matches in all competitions so far this season.
