There is now a possibility that Paris Saint-Germain could be without midfielder Leandro Paredes for its upcoming UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg fixture against Real Madrid.

As noted by L’Equipe, Paredes is now dealing with a notable adductor injury. He is much likely to miss PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Rennes and could be in line to not play against Real Madrid next week.

Paredes featured in PSG’s recent Ligue 1 match against Lille OSC, as he played in 85 minutes of the contest and wound up picking an assist. This appearance could now end up being his last one for quite a while.

Overall, Paredes’ campaign has been marred by injury. For one, he missed multiple matches in the first half of the season due to a thigh injury, including both of PSG’s UEFA Champions League group stage encounters with RB Leipzig.

It will be noteworthy to see on how Paredes progresses from his injury over the remainder of the week.
