The attention for Paris Saint-Germain has now turned to its upcoming UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash against Real Madrid. The opening leg of the tie will come on Tuesday from the Parc des Princes.
Overall, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino sees that his side comes into the matchup in “good conditions,” which he touched on following the Ligue 1 home fixture against Rennes (via L’Equipe).
“We did a good job this month,” Pochettino said. “On Tuesday, we will be in very good conditions to face Real Madrid.”
PSG is just coming off of the 1-0 win over Rennes in league play, which was a fixture that featured plenty of highs and lows for Pochettino’s side over the course of the match. PSG had its way in possession but also recorded a mere one total shot on target, which came on Kylian Mbappe’s game-winning goal in the late stages of the match.
Plenty sure will be on the line for the French powerhouse and the La Liga side in this key Champions League tie.
