Next week, Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Madrid in their Round of 16 first leg match at the Parc des Princes. With days left until the two heavyweights face-off, the Spanish club could be without their striker Karim Benzema.

Ahead of the tie, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media at his press conference, where the Argentine tactician was asked about facing a Real Madrid squad without Benzema. The 49-year-old states that the capital club will not underestimate its opponent.

“He is one of the best strikers in the world; he has shown his talent for years at Real Madrid. Without a doubt, it will be a loss for Madrid,” Pochettino said. “But I’m not saying that it will benefit PSG because Real has a very large squad. It is sure that in the analysis, it is something to foresee.”
