As Paris Saint-Germain heads into 2022, the storyline will be the future of Kylian Mbappé and whether he will extend his contract or depart for Real Madrid. The Spanish club and its supporters aren’t hiding their push to land the 23-year-old.
During manager Mauricio Pochettino’s press conference, the Argentine tactician spoke about the future of Mbappé and whether he foresees the situation affecting the France international.
“I think contractual situations can affect you if you don’t have the maturity to handle it. Kylian has the necessary maturity,” Pochettino said.
“The club knows the situation. We don’t think this is a problem. We hope that he will stay at the club for several years, that he will continue to have the performance he has had so far.”
Despite having Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr., Mbappé stirs the offense as he has become the primary goal scorer for the squad.
