PSG Officially Rules Out Ramos from the Coupe de France Fixture vs. OGC Nice

Paris Saint-Germain will be without veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos for the upcoming Coupe de France round of 16 clash against OGC Nice, as he is now dealing with a low-grade muscle injury in his right calf.

The Spanish international suffered the injury during PSG’s scheduled training session on Thursday. For now, he is at the least set to miss the club’s domestic cup matchup against OGC Nice and will then be reassessed in the middle of this week.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino touched on Ramos’ notable injury during a pre-match press conference, where he noted that the club will simply follow this development on a day-by-day basis.

Overall, Ramos’ first season with PSG has been marred by injuries. He missed a bulk of time during the first half of the season due to a thigh injury. He has been a regular as of late for PSG, which includes a pair of appearances in Ligue 1 play this month.

It will be noteworthy to see whether Ramos will be fully fit for PSG’s league matchup against Lille OSC next week.
