PSG Mercato: Le Parisien Provides Update on Kylian Mbappé Contract Extension Talks

The future of Kylian Mbappé is a subject that will be discussed for the next few months until the 23-year-old signs with a new club (likely Real Madrid) or extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

French media outlet Le Parisien (via Canal Supporters) provides an update on the latest contract talks between the two sides. Mbappé is happy in Paris, which is enough to boost the club’s optimism. Le Parisien adds that contract extension discussions continue “peacefully” between PSG and Mbappé.

Furthermore, there are “no secret negotiations” with his representatives and Real Madrid. Los Blancos have not hidden their desire to land the French star, including making an offer for him last summer.

As of now, Mbappé continues pondering his future, and he hasn’t thought about closing the chapter in Paris entirely. While the La Liga side awaits him, his thinking is still ongoing, leaving some hopes for PSG. He also turned the page of his failed transfer last summer.

Finally, if Mbappé decides to extend at PSG, it will be a short-term contract. The French outlet states that he has not yet decided, but the forward will not stay five more years in Paris.

Should PSG appoint former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, it’s likely the French tactician will influence how long Mbappé stays, should he extend his contract.
