French Football Pundit States Why Kylian Mbappé Will Depart PSG for Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain might only have a few months left with Kylian Mbappé on their squad as the 23-year-old’s contract expires in June. Furthermore, with Real Madrid lurking, the Spanish club hopes to entice him to leave the French capital.

There are plenty of thoughts on the matter, and the latest to offer their opinion on Mbappé’s future is French football journalist Nabil Djellit. During a segment on La Chaîne L’Equipe (via Paris Fans), Djellit states to enjoy the France international now since he’ll be departing in June.

“Nothing is impossible in football since Messi signed for Paris Saint-Germain,” Djellit said.

“What I see is that he didn’t say he wanted to stay, just. The story of: ‘Qatar absolutely wants to keep him doesn’t work because otherwise, they would have already re-signed it with what they offered it.”

Djellit believes that Mbappé is heading for a departure due to the comments the PSG star has made since last summer. From stating his desire to explore other cultures to saying that finances won’t be a significant factor in his decision.

“He said in an interview that money was not just his priority. He said he wanted to learn about other cultures,” Djellit said.

“That’s the meaning of history, and for me, he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season to be number 1 in the biggest club in the world, Real Madrid.”

Les Parisiens still hopes that they will extend his deal, and perhaps eliminating Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 will begin to convince Mbappé that they can build a project around him.
