There’s plenty of discussion regarding Lionel Messi adapting to Ligue 1. The 34-year-old has only scored one goal in domestic competition, and as the season proceeds, some are beginning to worry as 2021 turns into 2022.

However, manager Mauricio Pochettino isn’t worried about the goal-scoring struggles Messi is enduring. During his press conference with the media, the Argentine tactician stated that Messi had his share of chances, and it’s only a matter of time before he starts converting.

“It is a question of success, and of time as well. But he will score goals. The opportunities, we had them. We just lacked success to be able to score more goals. In the case of Leo, it is obvious that he will score goals. He has an incredible, unique talent, he has always scored goals, and he will score more,” Pochettino said.
