Paris Saint-Germain needs to find a midfielder that is on the level of Marco Verratti. The 28-year-old has become unreliable for the capital club, and when he’s out of the lineup, the squad suffers.
A midfielder link to Les Parisiens is AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié. The 24-year-old’s contract expires in June, and the Italian club remains far apart in contract talks with Kessié. Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Milan News) reports that the annual salary remains an issue.
The Italian media outlet states that the figures proposed by Milan are at €6.5-million per season. Meanwhile, Kessié wants €8-million annually, which is an asking price PSG can meet.
With the January window opening up soon, Milan must decide, either sell the Ivory Coast international for what they can or lose him on a free transfer in June. Last summer, the Italian side lost Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Gianluigi Donnarumma for nothing.
As a result, Milan can’t afford to let another talented player leave for nothing. PSG could probably make a reasonable offer, and the Serie A side might accept it and let Kessié depart.
