Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos appears to be closing in on a return to the pitch. The former Real Madrid was named to the group traveling for their road match against AS Saint-Étienne.
It’s only a matter of time before Ramos gets to see playing time, and for PSG, it can’t come soon enough as they could use help on their defense.
Ahead of the matchup against Saint-Étienne, manager Mauricio Pochettino updated Ramos and mentioned the adjustments the defender will need to make playing in a new league.
“[Ramos] behaves normally, professionally, he tries to help the team. It’s positive. He is a player that we know, with a lot of experience, a great champion,” Pochettino said at his press conference.
“He can bring his knowledge, values. He needs to play. We will have to see how he adapts to the championship, completely different from La Liga. It’s hard to predict that; it’s just feeling. It will take the time it takes.”
