Over the last week, there’s been plenty of discussions regarding the future of Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino. First, the Argentine tactician was linked to the Manchester United job, which has since been filled temporarily with the arrival of Ralf Rangnick.
Then there were reports about PSG possibly jumping on Zinédine Zidane, who has yet to coach since departing Real Madrid last season. However, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi gave a vote of confidence to Pochettino, stating they had yet to speak with the French tactician.
“He is our coach; we are very happy with him and his work. Rumors about contacts with other coaches are false. I definitely want to close them tonight and stop talking about this,” Al-Khelaïfi said to L’Equipe.
“We never had contact with Zinédine Zidane, even though he’s one of the best coaches. But we also have one.”
