Paris Saint-Germain walked away with a disappointing 2-2 draw against RB Leipzig. The German side opened the scoring against the capital club, but after withstanding their press in the first 15 minutes, the Ligue 1 side scored two straight goals by Georginio Wijnaldum.

However, Les Parisiens would concede a penalty kick opportunity following a foul by Presnel Kimpembe. Dominik Szoboszlai would convert the chance to make it 2-2, which would be the final result.

Following the match, Wijnaldum spoke to RMC Sport, where he provided his thoughts on the draw where he discussed the missed scoring chances PSG had during the game. However, the 30-year-old also answered a question over the opportunities they concede.

“Yes, it’s true that we created a lot of chances but we also gave them when we weren’t precise. When we had the ball, with the possession, it was good and it was more difficult for them to create chances because they had to run a lot. But at certain points in the game, things were made too easy for them,” Wijnaldum said.

“We really have to improve in controlling the game. It’s a different game between 0-0 and when you’re 0-1. We played really well when we created chances and when we had the ball, but it’s true that we were not always precise enough, that we did not always control the ball enough, and that ‘we conceded too much. There are a lot of things to improve.”
