Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes has been sidelined as of late due to a notable quad injury.
The PSG talent joined up with the Argentina national team for its 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying schedule, although he has already missed the team’s recent clash with Uruguay.
In speaking during a pre-match press conference on Monday, Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni provided one key update on Paredes’ injury ahead of the team’s upcoming World Cup qualifying fixture against Brazil.
“Paredes trained normally,” Scaloni said. “He’s well, we have to evaluate to see if we include him in the final team. He comes here having not played for many days, the important thing is he is well.”
It sure will be noteworthy to see if Paredes at the least features as a second half substitute in the match.
