Video: Lionel Messi Provides a Major Injury Update Ahead of PSG’s Upcoming Fixtures Against Nantes, Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain will return from the November international break with a pair of key fixtures in the Ligue 1 match against Nantes and the UEFA Champions League away group stage fixture against Manchester City.

There have been question marks over the past week on whether Lionel Messi may be available for these matchups considering that his hamstring and knee injuries kept him out of PSG’s last two matches in all competitions. But as he noted following Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying scoreless draw result with Brazil, he has been on the right track regarding this matter.

“I’m fine, otherwise I wouldn’t have played,” Messi said. “I’ve been out of action for a long time, and it’s not easy to play a match with as much rhythm as this one. Luckily, I’m fine and I know that little by little I’m going to get into a rhythm. I hope I can finish the year well.”

PSG’s clash with Nantes will come on Nov. 20.

  1. PSG fans can only enjoy Lionel Messi if the are patient with him. He has just come. Give him time to settle down.
The enemies want to deny Lionel Messi the 2021 Ballon d’Or award because he is not SCORING GOALS IN 2021/2022 SEASON. ARE WE GOING TO USE 2021/2022 SEASON PERFORMANCE TO DETERMINE THE BEST PLAYER OF 2020/2021 SEASON? FRANCE FOOTBALL MUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE MISLED. FROM HENCEFORTH THE SHOULD STICK TO LAY DOWN CRITERIA NOT PEOPLE’S VOTES AND IDEAS.

*For example if Jay Jay Okocha is one of the 30 in the list now all African coaches and Captains will vote for Jay Jay. Simple! Now Jay Jay is not even playing at club nor national level. That means that this method IS FAULTY. It should be done away with.

  2. Through God i trust that mess wil be fine up to the match against manchester city, and we wil that geme
