This past weekend against AS Saint-Étienne, Paris Saint-Germain was dealt a blow when they lost Neymar Jr. to an ankle injury that will keep the 29-year-old out of action for 6-8 weeks.

At his press conference, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media, where he stated his sadness not to be able to have Neymar out on the pitch.

“I’m sad for him because he’s someone who loves to play soccer above all else. We are not trying to replace Neymar but find solutions to have the best tactical balance,” Pochettino said.

Despite noting having the Brazil international, Pochettino does have other talents to count on to replace Neymar like Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé.
