Video: ‘I’m Pretty Sure He’s a Great Manager’ – Pep Guardiola Comments on Mauricio Pochettino

Pep Guardiola has had plenty of encounters against Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Spanish tactician got the best of the Argentine last season when Manchester City defeated the capital club to advance to the UEFA Champions League final.

However, Pochettino did get some revenge this season in the first group stage match between the clubs. Now PSG will look to go into Etihad Stadium and get three points.

Ahead of the match, Pep Guardiola spoke to the media at his press conference, where he stated his thoughts on Pochettino as a manager.

“I’m pretty sure that every year the managers are better. I’m pretty sure he’s a great manager,” Guardiola said. “You can be a good manager and not win the trophy. You can be excellent in coaching and in human relations without winning titles. The managers who have the chance to win titles are those at the head of the best clubs with investment.”
