Kylian Mbappé might suggest that the France national team play their matches at the Parc des Princes more often. The Paris Saint-Germain made sure to everyone that the grounds were his home following his four-goal performance against Kazakhstan.
The 22-year-old scored a hat-trick in the first 45 minutes of the match and added one more in the second half. Following the game, manager Didier Deschamps provided his thoughts on the performance by Mbappé at his press conference.
“It’s a very nice evening for him in terms of efficiency. He has this ability to score a lot of goals. If he starts to put four goals in each game and, in addition, to be efficient with the head. He is a perfectionist and has the ability to make a lot of differences,” Deschamps said.
“He is a young player, but today, with the whole of the France team, he was able to show all his class, his efficiency, and his state of mind. He could have put a quintuplet, but he left it to Antoine (Griezmann) to take the penalty. This allows the whole attack to share the offensive realism tonight.”
France has now booked its spot for Qatar next year after the lopsided win.
