Tottenham Goalkeeper Lloris Lauds Mbappe for the 4-Goal Performance vs. Kazakhstan

Kylian Mbappe put together arguably one of the most prolific performances of his career with the France national team on Saturday, as he scored four goals against Kazakhstan in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play.

France created high-percentage goal-scoring chances with ease over the match, and Mbappe logged the first four-goal performance of his career with Les Bleus.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris earned a start in the match and recorded a clean sheet in the 8-0 win. He was left in sheer amazement by this performance from Mbappe at the Parc des Princes, which he opened up about following the match (via Ligue 1’s official website).

“Kylian was in his own backyard at the Parc des Princes,” Lloris said. “He is full of confidence. “Like all the players who were at the Euros, there are always doubts when you don’t meet expectations.

“He has been able to ask the tough questions of himself – like a great champion. He was made to break records and win titles. He shouldn’t put any limits on himself.”

Mbappe has now scored seven goals in all competitions with France in the calendar year.

France will take on Finland on Tuesday in its final 2022 World Cup qualifying match. It remains to be seen whether Mbappe will feature in the contest.
