Report: Neymar ‘Uncertain’ for PSG’s Champions League Away Group Stage Fixture vs. Manchester City

The home UEFA Champions League group stage fixture for Paris Saint-Germain against Manchester City featured Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Now, PSG may not roll out all three together for the return matchup.

As noted by L’Equipe, Neymar underwent tests by PSG’s medical staff after he was ruled out of Brazil’s recent 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Argentina due to injury. The tests revealed he is dealing with an adductor injury in his left thigh.

For now, Neymar is not expected to take part in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Nantes. And at the moment, he is being deemed as “uncertain” for the away Champions League group stage matchup against Manchester City.

This sure will be a notable injury to watch for PSG club officials, especially as the Brazilian forward has had a history with adductor injuries before.

PSG will look to kick off league play following the November international break with a possible win over Nantes.
