Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi featured in a pair of fixtures for the Argentina national team over the past week. The forward was a second half substitute in Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Uruguay and then went on to earn a start against Brazil.
As noted by RMC Sport’s Loic Tanzi, the Argentine forward has now fully recovered from his notable hamstring injury.
For now, Messi is fully focused on featuring for PSG in its UEFA Champions League away group stage fixture against Manchester City coming next week.
Before this match, PSG will take on Nantes in a Ligue 1 clash. It remains to be seen whether PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino plans to start the Argentine forward in the fixture or possibly opt to provide him with playing time minutes as a second half substitute.
PSG sure will look to possibly expand on its lead at the top of the Ligue 1 standings in this upcoming matchup with Nantes.
