The January transfer window is a couple of months away, meaning that the Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid transfer rumors will hit overdrive as the Spanish club eyes the France international.
On his “Here We Go” Podcast, Italian football and transfer window journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Real Madrid is beginning to stay quiet on the matter following weeks of talking about the 22-year-old to the public.
Nonetheless, the Italian journalist plans to fight until the last day to keep their superstar forward.
“Mbappé’s situation? Real Madrid are silent because they know that PSG is really mad at them! When Karim Benzema, the board of Real, the club’s entourage, talked about Mbappé,” Romano said.
“It was a problem because now PSG are furious! There is nothing new in this file; the Madrid club is still on the spot, as always. But PSG will fight until the last day to keep the player… We will see.”
Over the summer, Los Blancos had hopes of landing the young forward, but PSG opted to hold onto Mbappé and pair him alongside Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.
Various reports suggest that Mbappé wants to be the center of a project, and it’s something the La Liga club can promise as it turns over its squad ushering out the older players that were part of winning three straight UEFA Champions League.
January could tell what happens as Mbappé can sign a pre-contract with Real Madrid that kicks in next season.
