Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe posted one stout performance for the France national team with four goals scored against Kazakhstan in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying play.
The French forward was able to clinch a hat-trick in the first half and later scored his fourth goal of the game over the later stages to clinch an 8-0 win for France.
As expected, France national team manager Didier Deschamps is much impressed with this outing from the PSG star, which he spoke about following the match (via RMC Sport).
“It’s a very nice night for him personally,” Deschamps said. “Little by little, he’s starting to get good in the head too, and because he has a perfectionist mindset, he will be able to continue to make a lot of differences and be effective. Everything he is doing is going off the charts.
“He was able to show off his class, his efficiency and his mindset, which is important to me.”
Overall, Mbappe has been in impressive form in the month of November. He has so far combined for nine total goal contributions in three matches with both France and PSG, with five of them being key goals.
France will now take on Finland up next in World Cup qualifying play on Tuesday. It sure will be noteworthy to see whether Mbappe will feature in this match following the exquisite performance against Kazakhstan.
