Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria has had quite a run so far with the French powerhouse. From the multitude of career goals in pivotal matches to being PSG’s all-time leader in assists, the Argentine playmaker sure has made the most of his time with the side.

During a recent interview with RMC Sport‘s “Rothen s’enflamme” program, Di Maria took some time to reflect on his run with PSG.

“I am aware of what I have done here, of the number of titles we have won,” Di Maria said. “I have a special affection for the club and the city. Since the beginning, I feel at home here. The people are so nice inside and outside the club that I cannot feel anything negative. Everything is favorable, impeccable and I am very happy.”

Di Maria is currently in the final year of his contract deal with PSG. The Argentine star did note to RMC Sport that he has an option for an additional year if both he and the club agree to it.

“I have an extra year as an option if both parties agree,” Di Maria said. “For my part, it’s about my age, my goal is to go out the door, happy, content. I have already left Real [Madrid] on bad terms despite winning the Champions League, from Manchester it was the same. If I have to return to Argentine football, I hope to leave through the front door of a big club like PSG.”

For now, Di Maria sure is aiming to doing what he can to help PSG not only claim a domestic double this season with possible wins in Ligue 1 and Coupe de France but also a competition victory in the UEFA Champions League.
