Paris Saint-Germain showed their mental strength in their 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig. The capital club opened the scoring with a goal courtesy of a Kylian Mbappé goal. However, the Ligue 1 side faced adversity when Leipzig scored the next two goals to go up 2-1.
Nonetheless, for the first time, PSG experienced what Barcelona has seen when facing a disastrous result, only to have Lionel Messi snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Following the match, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to RMC Sport, where he discussed his squad’s performance.
“I think we started the game well, scoring. We had a difficult time against a team that still scored three goals on Manchester City. A team capable of creating chances in the circumstances different from City,” Pochettino said.
“I think the team showed character, fought hard, and showed organization to be able to attack the match well, hold out and demonstrate all the talent that we have. I am sure that we will make further progress over time on this; I have no doubts.”
