Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show in his team’s 2-1 Ligue 1 win over Angers.
Mbappe delivered for the French powerhouse in the second half, which included an assist to midfielder Danilo Pereira and the key penalty goal that wound up being the game-winner in the fixture.
After the match, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino touched on Mbappe’s performance in the match, where he lauded the showing from the French talent.
“We know, there is no need for me to praise him again, he is a great player, one of the best in the world,” Pochettino said. ‘In the moments when the team needs him, he always appears.”
PSG will now take on RB Leipzig up next in a key UEFA Champions League home group stage fixture.
