Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Angel Di Maria has not kicked off the ongoing campaign on a strong note. The Argentine playmaker has only scored one goal in all competitions with the side this season.
Overall, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is not much concerned with the Argentine’s overall form as of late, which he touched upon during a press conference ahead of the team’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Lille OSC.
“It’s an individual issue, but you have to look at the bigger picture and put all the elements in a bowl to explain this situation,” Pochettino said. “He arrived late because of the Copa America. He had a different preparation. He was suspended for three games in the Champions League.
“He leaves often for the national team. And on the other hand, we have 33 players who think they deserve to play. In all this salad, when we make an analysis, I am very satisfied with the commitment of each.”
The Argentine is on par to feature in PSG’s upcoming league clash with Lille.
