Any player born in the Greater Paris Area has dreams of one day potentially playing with Paris Saint-Germain. Midfielder Demba Ba spent most of his playing career in Germany and England, playing for clubs such as TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Chelsea FC, and Newcastle United.
Ba didn’t play much in France; however, the 36-year-old stated in an interview with beIN Sports France that one of his dreams was to play for the capital club. However, Ba never mentions if he was ever close to playing in his hometown during the prime of his career.
“My dream would have been to play for Paris, and sometimes dreams are good where they are. Dreams remain dreams. Playing for Chelsea was a goal,” Ba said.
“Like other clubs, Chelsea was written on a piece of paper when I was 16. It was already planned ten before in my head. In my football career, I started my career with a road map.”
