Paris Saint-Germain will face Lille OSC this Friday. After a highly contested draw versus Olympique de Marseille over the weekend, the capital club hopes to bounce back against Les Dogues.
Ahead of the matchup, Lille manager Jocelyn Gourvennec spoke to the media at his press conference, where the French tactician stated that it’s a great challenge for his side to take on PSG.
“It’s a great challenge to take up the game there and play a big game at the Parc. They have been very effective since the start of the season. They did not drop many points with draws in Marseille and Bruges and a defeat in Rennes. We will have to be very strong, solid, and well organized as always against Paris. We have to be ready to run a lot both when we don’t have the ball and when we have it too,” Gourvennec said.
“We have to be ready to suffer all together because there are always times when PSG makes the opponent suffer at the Park. But you also have to play football because you have the quality to hold the ball and work in their camp. When we go to the Park, we can not play only in transition, we also have to prepare and keep the ball. We will have to be good in all of these areas.”
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad remains atop the Ligue 1 standings and hopes to pad their lead.
