The new Paris Saint-Germain forward notched a hat-trick in Argentina’s 2022 World Cup qualifying fixture against Bolivia. Messi’s second goal of the match clinched him the record for the most international goals scored by a CONMEBOL player.
This was just another historic performance in the career of Messi and one that certainly upped his candidacy for the Ballon d’Or award this year.
