Video: ‘I Am Very Happy for Him’ – Mauricio Pochettino Comments on the First Goal of Lionel Messi With PSG

Lionel Messi finally scored his long-awaited first goal with Paris Saint-Germain. The capital club would come away with a 2-0 victory on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League over Manchester City.

Following the match, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to Canal Plus, where the Argentine tactician answered a question over his thoughts, seeing Messi score his first goal with the Ligue 1 side.

“Leo is a world-class player; he scored a great goal and deserved it. I am very happy for him and the work he has done. This gave us the opportunity to take the three points,” Pochettino said.

Pochettino also stated his opinion over how he saw the trio of Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé.

“Very well. They were a great strength of the team, they sought to be in the attacking sector, and the team was always well positioned. We managed to get out in transition, and I am very satisfied with this victory as with them,” Pochettino said.
