Paris Saint-Germain’s star-studded attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe has been the main attraction so far in training this season. The trio has had its way with must-watch attacking sequences in scheduled training sessions on a week-by-week basis.
For PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico, he has much enjoyed the challenge of training alongside Messi, Neymar and Mbappe this season, which he spoke further about to the Spanish-based outlet Paneka.
“It’s incredible,” Rico said. “In any training session, it is very enjoyable. There is an impressive leap in quality, the speed at which the ball circulates is very high. The whole team grows because the pace of training is very high, and the quality of the training is maximum. This helps to squeeze everyone’s performance equally.”
There is still a wait for Messi, Neymar and Mbappe to put out for their first grand showing together in a match this season. This wait will carry on for the moment, especially as Messi is slated to miss PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Metz due to a slight left knee injury.
Nonetheless, they will receive a major test next week when PSG clashes with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
