The summer transfer window has now closed, but Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi’s name is still hovering over the transfer rumor mill.
As noted by the Spanish-based outlet Todofichajes, Serie A side Juventus is still well interested in signing Icardi, especially following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the club.
Juventus was intrigued with possibly signing Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic over the recent summer transfer window. However, Juventus ended its pursuit of the forward due to Fiorentina’s high price demand for him.
Now, Juventus has turned its attention to Icardi. For PSG, the French powerhouse has set a €35 million price demand for the Argentine forward, the report added.
Icardi has featured for PSG this season in Ligue 1 play but is currently out of action due to a shoulder injury. The Argentine is well expected to receive playing time minutes in all competitions upon his return from injury, but it is not known on whether he will be a starter with the team.
It remains to be seen whether Juventus will go on to meet PSG’s price demand for the forward next year.
